It's been awhile

So today started off busy. We had a lot of stuff to do. We went to Walmart so that we could buy some baby gates. The other day Justin and I were downstairs on the phone. All of a sudden we turned around and Henry was half way up the stairs. Just standing there smiling at us. It made my heart skip a beat. I couldn't believe it. My baby is really starting to grow up.

So getting baby gates for both sets of stairs was a must. I can't believe how fast he is growing. He has 4 teeth now, is crawling all over the place, crawling up the stairs, walking along furniture, and will probably be walking any day now. It seems like it was only yesterday that he was my sweet little baby that I needed to do everything for.

Sorry for all the reminising. Until next time, enjoy life.

How I love Henry!

Henry is starting to explore everything. We went to the park on Monday and we were playing on the grass and he started to push is stroller. With some help from Mommy and Daddy he started to push the stroller. Then all by himself, he started to push it. Crazy, he'll be walking soon.

We went to the spray park on Tuesday and Henry was not scared at all of the water. He started to crawl all over the place. He would not stop playing until I came and got him. He was so cold his lips were blue. Here are some pictures of his adventures.

What happens when you look away!

So this is what happened today. I was watching the Olympics and Henry was playing. Then all of a sudden I heard a big bang and then Henry started to cry. He hit the bridge of his nose into a garbage can in the living room. Needless to say we are getting rid of that garbage can in the living room.

He survived and his doing okay. Other than the way it looks, you wouldn't even know that he feel.

Oh yes. He is cutting is 3rd tooth, the first one on the top. Justin noticed a line on his gums yesterday. How I love teething.

Why I love Showers!!!!

Well I just got home yesterday from a 4 day adventure with Henry. We went to my family reunion (for the Williams's), down in southern Alberta, near the mountains and Pincher Creek. My husband Justin had to work this weekend so therefore my Aunt Moana kidnapped Henry and I and we went down with her. Thankfully we didn't have to tent it. We stayed with my parents in their camper. That is the only way to camping with a baby.

Because we were gone four days and were in the middle of no where, we both went 4 days without any baths/showers. Therefore we came home very stinky of camp fire and other odours. I felt so bad for Justin. Due to the odours we had, Henry and me had a very nice warm shower and got ride of all our outdoor scents. It was such a nice shower, how I love and missed my shower.

Anyways it was alot of fun. We went horse back riding and walking in the river near by. It was really nice to spend time with family. Here is a picture of Henry and James (cousin) riding the horses.

We got home last night to find out that one of my dearest friends had her baby while we were gone. Alivia Saige James was born to Pamela and Travis on Friday August 8, 2008, at around 1 AM. We went and meet her today. Henry really likes her and their dog Monty. Henry even gave Olivia kiss's. Olivia is such a cutie. We hope all the best to them. Here are some pictures of Henry and Olivia.

Why I Love Hanging Out Outside.....

Well today we went to Calaway Park (a fun amusement park just outside the city). We took Henry and he just loved being outside, hanging out in his stroller, eating his yummy treats. Justin had a engagment photo shoot, with some friends of ours, so I tagged along with Henry. They went on the rides and took the fun photos. Henry and I just hanged out enjoying the fresh air. There was a lot of people there today, and the lines for the rides were really long. Especially on the big rides like the roller coaster and log ride. I guess that is what happens when you go to a park on a holiday. Everyone else goes too.

Lately Henry is learning how to move around. He is crawling, climbing and pulling himself up onto the furniture. Here are some photo's:

Here is Henry, the very first time he figured out how to climb up on the furniture and he lets go and hold on with one hand.

Here he is again. Sitting in the sink, playing with his bath toys.

As promised here is a layout that I have been working on. This is a layout that I did, using white and black and greys. This photo was taken last year on Ocotober 13, 2007 when I was 33 weeks pregnant. Hope you enjoy.

Until next time, have a great day.

Hi there. This is my first post on my brand new blog. I am so excited to get started.

So just to let you know a little bit about my self. I live in "The Great White North", meaning Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I have lived here for about 6 years. I originally hail from Taber. A small town 3 hours south of here, that barely shows up on the maps. Taber is well known for it's corn (btw, really really good).

I have been married to my husband Justin for 4 years. We just welcomed our first child into our family back in November. His name is Henry and he is the most adorable, well mannered little boy (don't all mom's think that about their own kids).

I am currently on Maternity Leave (in Canada you get 1 full year of paid maternity leave) from my wonderful job as a Dental Assistant. Therefor with all my spare time I have been able to blossom all my hobbies. Which includes scrapbooking, hiking, bike riding and doing anything fun with my son. My husband is a photographer (wink, wink, his website www.murphyimage.ca)
mostly does wedding, but is branching off into the sporting end of things. We just purchased a sports photography company here, and now he is a full time photographer, which he is loving.

So there it goes. A little about myself. I will be posting more. Mainly scrapbooking and personal family stuff is what I will be doing.

Anyways talk to you all later.
